You will also save an average of $14 a month over purchasing the appliances plan and the systems plan separately. The Combo Plan fully includes both the Systems Plan and the Appliance Plan.

Systems Plan

Who wants to deal with faulty plumbing or an A/C on the fritz? This plan covers the replacement or repair of the components of these key home systems.

Appliance Plan

You know better than anyone the kind of toll your appliances take from everyday use. Choose this plan to cover the repair or replacement of these:

Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Clothes Dryer, Clothes Washer, Range/Oven/Cooktop, Built-in Microwave Oven, Free-standing Ice Maker, Trash Compactor, Garage Door opener, Built-in Food Processor.

COVERED: In regards to air conditioning, all parts of the following systems are covered:

Ducted central electric split and package units
Wall air conditioners
Mini-splits

When air conditioning system replacement is necessary, coverage includes upgrading of duct connections, plenums and indoor electrical lines up to and including the disconnect, including when required to maintain compatibility and compliance with SEER, HSPF and refrigerant standards.

In addition to the specific terms listed here, coverage may be limited by general exclusions and limitations in the home warranty contract. Please see the “Coverage Overview” and “Limitations and Exclusions” section of the sample contract for additional coverage information.

Coverage of certain air conditioning systems is limited to $2,000. This limit does NOT apply to the majority of A/C systems, which are either central air or heat pump based. This limitation only applies to access, diagnosis and repair or replacement of any water source heat pumps (non geothermal), glycol, hot water, or steam circulating system. Coverage of ductwork is limited to $1,500 in certain circumstances. Please see the “Air Conditioning and Heating Note” in the sample contract for details.

NOTE: Australian Home Protect will pay up to $10 per pound per occurrence for refrigerant. Customer is responsible for payment of any costs in excess of $10 per pound.
COVERED: In regards to heating systems, this option covers all of the following components and parts:

Forced air (gas, electric, oil)
Wall mounted heaters
Floor furnaces
Package units
Heat pumps
Mini-splits
Hot water or steam circulating heat
Electric baseboard
Room heaters
Cable heat (if main source of heat to the home or room)

When heating system replacement is necessary, coverage includes upgrading of duct connections, plenums and indoor electrical lines up to and including the disconnect, including when required to maintain compatibility and compliance with SEER, HSPF, and refrigerant standards. ELECTRICAL
COVERED: This option covers all components and parts, including Direct Current (D.C.) wiring, lighting fixtures, and built-in exhaust/vent/attic fans.

Leaks and breaks of water, drain, gas, waste or vent lines
Toilets and related mechanisms
Toilet wax ring seals
Valves for shower
Tub
Diverter
Angle stops
Risers and gate valves (similar features of finish and style used when replacement is necessary)
Hose bibs
Basket strainers
Permanently installed sump pumps (ground water only)
Built-in bathtub whirlpool motor, pump, and air switch assemblies
Pressure regulators
Expansion tanks
Sewage ejector pump (septic system sewage ejector pumps are not covered unless optional coverage H.4 is purchased)
Clearing of sink, bathtub, shower, and toilet stoppages – Clearing of mainline drain and sewer stoppages through an
accessible cleanout up to 100 feet from access point
Clearing of lateral drain line stoppages up to 100 feet from access point including accessible cleanout, p-trap, drain or overflow access points

NOTE: Where covered repairs require access to plumbing, Australian Home Protect will provide access to plumbing only through unobstructed walls, ceilings or floors, and will return access openings to a rough finish. If the plumbing is accessible only through a concrete floor, wall or ceiling, Australian Home Protect will pay up to $1000 per contract term for access, diagnosis, repair, or replacement of such plumbing, including returning access openings to a rough finish. Customer is responsible for payment of any costs in excess of $1000.

COVERED: This option covers the repair or replacement of components and parts of standard or tankless water heaters and circulating pumps that malfunction due to normal wear and tear.

Optional Warranty Coverage

COVERED: This Agreement covers all components of well pump, provided the well is the primary water source to the covered home.

This Agreement does NOT cover the following list of modules, components and parts relating to the well pump: (i) well casings; (ii) holding and storage tanks; (iii) piping or electrical lines leading to or connecting pressure tank and covered home; (iv) re-drilling of wells; (v) booster pumps; and (vi) components for geothermal/heat pumps.
